NCCPA Certification
Following successful completion of all curricular requirements, graduates will be eligible to take the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE). Information regarding the PANCE and eligibility can be found at nccpa.net. The program’s most current annual NCCPA PANCE Exam Performance Summary Report will be posted here following the graduation of our first class.

Measuring Effectiveness at Meeting Program Goals
Goal 1: Excellence
OBU will provide exceptional training in the knowledge, skills, and clinical judgement necessary for entry-level practice as a physician associate.
Tools and Benchmarks
- Each cohort of graduates will have an aggregate PANCE pass rate greater than the national average.
- Each cohort of graduates will perform at or above the national average in ≥80% of the medical content and task areas on the End-of-Curriculum and PANCE exams.
- All program graduates will pass each component of the Summative Evaluations with a score of 80% or higher.
- Responses to student, graduate, alumni, faculty, and staff survey items specifically addressing Program Goal 1 will demonstrate a mean rating of ≥4.0 on a 5-point Likert scale.

Goal 2: Innovation and Adaptability
OBU will develop students who demonstrate collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to personal and professional growth.

- All program graduates will receive an average rating of ≥4.0 on a 5-point Likert scale from their clinical preceptors regarding their ability to demonstrate collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
- All program graduates will pass the Service and Growth Reflection written assignment in their final semester with a score of 80% or higher.
- Responses to student, graduate, alumni, faculty, and staff survey items specifically addressing Program Goal 2 will demonstrate a mean rating of ≥4.0 on a 5-point Likert scale.

Goal 4: Faith Integration
OBU will integrate Biblical foundations of servant leadership and medical ethics including humility, integrity, compassion, and care for the vulnerable.

- All program graduates will pass the Principles in Practice worksheet and reflection assignment near the end of the didactic semesters with a score of 80% or higher.
- All program graduates will receive an average rating of ≥4.0 on a 5-point Likert scale from their clinical preceptors regarding their ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills, humility, integrity, compassion, and care for the vulnerable.
