“After touring OBU, I knew it was the right school for me, but my family wasn't sure we could afford it. The financial aid team went above and beyond to help me find scholarships I qualified for, making it possible for me to attend. I'm incredibly thankful for all their support in making OBU a reality.”

Frequently Asked Questions

There is not a set deadline to apply, but we always encourage you to apply as soon as possible after the FAFSA opens on October 1st. Some financial aid funds are limited, so the earlier you apply the better likelihood you have of receiving everything you qualify for.

You'll need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.studentaid.gov. Be sure to select the correct application for the academic year you will be enrolled and list OBU in the school section so we receive a copy of your results.

Verification is a mandatory process required by the Department of Education for some students who complete the FAFSA. The process can be random or may be generated if there is conflicting information on your application. The Verification process just involved collecting documentation to confirm the accuracy of the information provided on your FAFSA.

Once you are admitted to OBU and we receive your FAFSA, our financial aid team will work to put together a full financial aid offer. This offer will be mailed to you along with all the details you need about your estimated out-of-pocket cost and payment plan installment amount.
