Our Global Marketplace Engagement (GME) degree provides you with an innovative onramp to cross-cultural service. If you choose this exciting ministry pathway, you will be prepared to enter the global marketplace by choosing an emphasis in business, global education, political science, math education, Spanish, teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) or graphic design. Each can provide a platform for intentional ministry.
The program is designed with purposeful ministry that prepares you to integrate into a common marketplace setting. As a student you will also develop a beginning fluency in a second language. A highlight of the global marketplace engagement curriculum is the practical and life-changing field experience you will gain through summer-long or semester-long internships.
Upon graduation with this degree, you will be prepared to enter a variety of roles based on your selection of emphasis. Some examples are listed below but many others are possible:
GME Business Emphasis prepares you for an MBA program, business as mission (BAM), international business, co-vocational minister or church planter.
GME Global Education Emphasis prepares you to teach at a public or private school, teach English as a second language, teach overseas, refugee work in the U.S. or overseas, or serve on a local church staff.
GME Graphic Design Emphasis prepares you to work in the fields of marketing, public relations, advertising or graphic design or develop social media ministry tools.
GME Math Education Emphasis prepares you to teach math in a private or public school, teach math overseas or tutor children of cross-cultural workers.
GME Political Science Emphasis prepares you to work for a non-government agency (NGO), government or para-government, teach in the U.S. or overseas, attend law school, work with refugees and immigrants, or work against human trafficking.
GME Spanish Emphasis prepares you to work with refugees and immigrants, teach Spanish in a public or private school, or serve as a tutor, translator or interpreter.
GME TESOL Emphasis prepares you to teach English to refugees and immigrants, teach English overseas, or start an English language and culture center.
