He currently serves as professor of theology and interpretation at Martin Bucer Seminary. He previously taught systematic theology online from 2016 to 2019 for the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also served SBTS as a lecturer on the introduction to doctoral-level research for the Research Doctoral Studies Office. From 2015 to 2019, he served as a research expert at the James P. Boyce Centennial Library, guiding students as they prepared research papers in church history and systematic theology.

OBU Provost Dr. Susan DeWoody looks forward to Bello joining the faculty and is grateful for the knowledge and expertise he brings.

“We are incredibly excited that Dr. Rafael Bello has accepted the opportunity to join our distinguished faculty in the Herschel H. Hobbs School of Theology and Ministry. Dr. Bello and his family will relocate to Oklahoma from São José dos Campos, Brazil, this summer. He has expressed a strong desire to create an exceptional classroom environment for student learning and also to serve as a mentor to students on campus with an interest in pursuing biblical scholarship.”
