Justice Wins Outstanding Senior in Teacher Education Award

May 14, 2020

Emily Justice has been named the 2019-20 Outstanding Senior in the Division of Teacher Education. The Division is part of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at OBU. Justice was informed of her award by a surprise visit to her home by teacher education faculty.

Awards for outstanding seniors in all Colleges and Divisions are typically presented during a special awards chapel at the conclusion of the spring semester. With the awards chapel event not being held this year due to the University’s move to distance learning, these students are instead being recognized through an announcement via the University website and social media channels.

The awards for outstanding seniors in the College of Humanities & Social Sciences are selected based on scholarship, leadership, work ethic, campus involvement and community involvement.

Justice is graduating with a bachelor’s degree in special education, early childhood education and elementary education. She serves as an officer for the Council of Exceptional Children and has been active in many activities on campus, including as a member of the color guard in the Bison Brigade marching band and as a member of the Bisonette Glee Club.
