Hurley College Announces Hull as Outstanding Senior in Science

May 18, 2020

Augustus Hull has been named the 2019-20 Outstanding Senior in Science award winner by the James E. Hurley College of Science and Mathematics. The faculty from the College informed Hull of the news via a special Zoom call.

Awards to outstanding seniors in all Colleges and Divisions are typically presented in a special awards chapel near the conclusion of the spring semester, which was not held this year due to the University’s move to distance learning. Instead, these students received a personal touch online in their individual presentations.

The Outstanding Senior Award for Science is given to the student graduating during the calendar year who, in the opinion of the science faculty, has demonstrated the most exceptional ability, work ethic, enthusiasm and potential in the field of science.

Hull is graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He will be attending veterinarian school at Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Chris Jones, dean of the Hurley College, made the presentation, joined by other faculty with words of congratulations for Hull.
