Lilite Brings Chapel Message to OBU

Dr. Louima Lilite, associate professor of music, continued the fall chapel series theme of the "Parables of the Kingdom: Jesus' Word Pictures as Found in the Gospel of Luke" Wednesday, Oct. 8. He taught on the "Parable of the Great Dinner" from Luke 14:15-24.

Lilite detailed the metaphors within the parable, likening this to the invitation from Christ for salvation. He shared that we make excuses in our lives to not follow Christ's call and often ignore the Lord's invitation. When we do this, we are like the invited guests who did not come to the banquet but instead made excuses.
