Alum Calvin Miller Publishes 'Letters to Heaven'

Losing loved ones is a challenge which often leaves people with a desire to communicate unexpressed thoughts or emotions. There is no true way to communicate to those who have passed away, but bestselling author Dr. Calvin Miller attempts to fulfill those feelings of need.

A 1958 OBU graduate, Miller earned his master's degree and doctorate at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been a pastor for more than 30 years. He became professor of preaching and pastoral studies at Samford University's Beeson Divinity School, where he continues to teach today.
