OBU’s Biggie Brings Back the ‘80s Saturday Night

Oklahoma Baptist University's Campus Activities Board is preparing for their annual fall talent show for upperclassmen Saturday night at 8 p.m.

The theme for this year's Biggie variety show, "Dude, it's BIGGIE, duh," is a take-off on the1980s decade of lingo, style and music.

Whitney Howell, a senior nursing major from Fritch, Texas and Krista Jones, a senior marketing major from Kansas City, Mo., are directors for the show.

This year CAB is eliminating the floor-to-ceiling painted backdrop in order to make use of the entire stage in Potter Auditorium. The refurbished auditorium will also allow computer-generated imaging to be projected on the university's new projection system during the performance.

"This year we're using technology to produce an even better quality show," said Monica Mullins, CAB sponsor. "We hope this will give more people the opportunity to use their gifts and talents."

Emcees for the show are sophomore Rob Rogers, junior David Chadbourne, and seniors Brian Nelson, Heather Lewis, Sam Dallas, and Melissa Satterwhite.

Performances will include musical numbers, dance routines and songs from the '80s.
