OBU to Graduate Two Hundred and Eighty in Spring Commencement

Two hundred and eighty-three students will have degrees conferred upon them during Oklahoma Baptist University's 2000 Spring commencement ceremonies, Saturday, May 20 at 10 a.m. in the university's Raley Chapel.

U.S. Congressman J.C. Watts, representing the 4th Congressional District for Oklahoma, will deliver the commencement address.

A capacity crowd of more than 1,800 is expected for the morning graduation exercises. In addition to the address from Congressman Watts, the program includes greetings by officials from the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma and the OBU Alumni Association. OBU President Mark Brister will preside at the ceremonies, and issue a presidential charge to the graduates.
