Dr. Nelson is a life long music educator working with students from Preschool through Adults. She has taught public school music, private piano and organ lessons, worked as a choir director, coordinator, organist and academy director in churches in Texas and taught at the university level. Patty holds a valid all-level music teaching certificate in Texas and is Orff certified.

Patty and her husband, Ed, have 2 grown children and a granddaughter. Their daughter, Michal and her husband Nathan, are both music educators and are the proud parents of Ruthie. They live in Waco , TX. Their son Tres, who served 4 years in the Marine Corps., and his wife Gaeten live and work in San Antonio, TX.
