Biography

Dr. Min Jung Kim received her DMA at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she previously received a Master of Music Education and many awards and scholarships, including the Paul Rolland Memorial Violin Competition Award and Cooke Fellowship.

Since 2006, she has taught violin in diverse settings, including Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts at Huntington Beach High School and Illinois String Academy, a pre-college program at the University of Illinois. She is a certified violin teacher in the Paul Rolland String Pedagogy Society and continues to perform as a section violinist at the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.
