Pre-SLP Program

The Pre-SLP Program is an online leveling/preparation program designed for individuals who have completed or are completing a bachelor’s degree in a major other than Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD). Completion of this program provides a basic understanding of communication and swallowing disorders and the basic science background required to be successful in a graduate program. 

Completion of the Pre-SLP Program does not guarantee admission into the OBU MS-SLP or another graduate program. Graduate admission and transfer policies vary by program and institution. Students should review the prerequisite requirements for the graduate programs they plan to apply to and contact those programs directly to confirm that the Pre-SLP Program courses will be accepted.

This program does not result in a certificate or Bachelor’s degree but does result in a microcredential badge upon completion.
