Spiritual Formation and Missions
More Than a Degree.
At OBU, we want students to leave campus with more than a degree. We want them to leave knowing Christ more deeply, understanding how God has gifted and called them, and ready to use those gifts wherever He leads. Through spiritual formation and opportunities to serve, students are learning that following Jesus is not something we do in one place or for one season. It shapes the way we live, the way we serve and the way we see the world.
Tom Elliff Center for Missions
For some students, that calling will lead them across cultures and around the world. The Tom Elliff Center for Missions helps students explore what it looks like to follow God’s call to missions through mentorship, scholarships, mission forums, practical preparation and relationships with those already serving. For a student who senses God leading them toward missions, the Center provides a place to ask questions, grow in their faith and take the next step.
Your gift to the Elliff Center helps make those next steps possible. You are investing in students who may one day carry the gospel to places and people they never imagined reaching. More than funding a program, you are helping a student discover where God is calling them and giving them the support to say yes. Learn more on the Tom Elliff Center page.
Global Outreach (GO) Trips
Sometimes the best way for a student to understand God’s heart for the world is to go. Through GO Trips, OBU students have the opportunity to step outside their familiar surroundings, serve alongside ministry partners and experience what God is doing in communities around the world. These trips give students a chance to put their faith into practice while learning from the people and places they encounter.
Your gift to GO Trips helps make those experiences possible. For many students, a GO Trip becomes more than a trip; it becomes a moment that changes the way they see their faith, their calling and the world around them. When you give, you help send students out to serve and come home with a deeper understanding of what it means to follow Jesus wherever He leads.
