At Oklahoma Baptist University, we believe exceptional students deserve the opportunity to pursue an exceptional education. Each year, OBU awards full-tuition scholarships to incoming students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, involvement and a commitment to making an impact.

How to Apply

    Apply to OBU

    Before you can be considered for a full-tuition scholarship, you must complete your application for admission to Oklahoma Baptist University.

    Review the Requirements

    Make sure you meet the GPA, test score and other eligibility requirements for the scholarship you are pursuing.

    Submit Your Scholarship Materials

    Complete your scholarship application and submit all required materials through your OBU admissions portal.

    Meet the Deadline

    Submit your completed application and supporting materials by Jan 1.

    Qualified finalists will receive additional information about the Full-Tuition Scholarship Competition, including what to expect and how to prepare.

Which scholarship could you qualify for?

University Scholar

These full-tuition scholarships are made to incoming full-time freshman. Students must have at least a 29 ACT or 1330 SAT or 89 CLT with a 3.5 high school GPA to apply.

Allen Academic Scholar

This full-tuition scholarship is awarded to a student from Western Oklahoma who has at least a 27 ACT or 1260 SAT or 84 CLT and a 3.5 GPA.

Martin Academic Scholar

This full-tuition scholarship is awarded to an Oklahoma resident Choctaw student who is recognized by the Choctaw Nation as being Choctaw with at least a 25 ACT or 1190 SAT or 78 CLT and a 3.0 GPA.

Who is eligible to apply for a full-tuition scholarship?

Full-tuition scholarships are available to qualifying incoming, full-time freshmen. Each scholarship has its own academic and eligibility requirements. Review the individual scholarship requirements above to determine which opportunity may be right for you.

Do I have to be admitted to OBU before applying?

Yes. Students must complete an application for admission to OBU as part of the scholarship application process.

What does "full tuition" cover?

The scholarship covers eligible OBU tuition. It does not necessarily cover room, board, books, fees or other costs associated with attending OBU.

Can I receive other OBU scholarships in addition to a full-tuition scholarship?

Full-tuition scholarship recipients are not eligible for additional OBU institutional aid, including athletic aid.

Do I have to submit the FAFSA?

University Scholar candidates should submit the FAFSA to OBU by February 1, 2026 in order to minimize your out-of-pocket cost for tuition, fees, room, and board.

What happens after I submit my application?

Qualified applicants will be reviewed and finalists will receive information about the scholarship competition and next steps.

What should I wear to the competition?

Business Professional is required for the students competing in Scholars Day. Come prepared to present yourself professionally and participate in a variety of academic and leadership activities.

When will scholarship recipients be announced?

Students will be contact by February 26th, 2027.
