Partner With OBU to Help Students Shape Their Future

Choosing a college is a significant decision, and you play an important role in helping students find the right fit.

At Oklahoma Baptist University, we partner with counselors, administrators and educators to help students explore what's possible. As a Christian liberal arts university, OBU combines academic excellence, meaningful relationships and a life of purpose to prepare students for what's next.

From academic programs and financial aid to campus visits and dual enrollment, our admissions team is here to give you the information, resources and connections you need to support your students.

What Sets OBU Apart?

When you recommend a college, you want to know your students will be supported academically, personally and spiritually. At OBU, those pieces are intentionally connected.

Academic Excellence

Students are challenged to pursue academic excellence with professors who know them and invest in their growth. With 80+ areas of undergraduate study, students can explore their interests, develop their strengths and prepare for their goals.

Faith Forward

Faith is integrated throughout the OBU experience, helping students connect what they believe with how they learn, lead and serve.

Prepared For What Is Next

Hands-on experiences, mentorship and career preparation help students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to pursue their next step. For the Class of 2025, 97% were employed or continuing their education.

Connected Community

OBU's close-knit campus community gives students opportunities to build meaningful relationships with professors, mentors and friends. With an average class size of 16 and a 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio, students receive personal attention while becoming part of a vibrant campus community.

Help Students Find Their Path

Not every student arrives at high school graduation knowing exactly what comes next. OBU gives students room to explore while providing the support they need to find a path that fits their interests, strengths and goals.

With more than 80 majors of undergraduate study, students can explore fields including:

  • Art and Design
  • Behavioral and Social Sciences
  • Business
  • Communication Arts
  • Education
  • Engineering
  • Exercise Science, Sports and Recreation
  • Language and Literature
  • Music
  • Nursing
  • Science and Mathematics
  • Theology and Ministry

Students also gain hands-on experience through state-of-the-art labs, research, internships, clinical experiences, service-learning, performances and more — all with personal guidance from faculty who know them well.

Help Students See What's Possible

A transformative Christian education should feel within reach.

OBU works with students and families to identify scholarships, grants and other resources that can make a Christ-centered education attainable. 100% of on-campus undergraduates receive scholarships or financial aid.

Three Ways OBU Makes College More Affordable

For students who qualify for Oklahoma's Promise, the Bison Pact covers remaining tuition and general fees after other aid is applied. The savings can total $140,000 over four years. Students must apply and file the FAFSA by March 1.

Every incoming freshman is automatically considered for academic scholarships based on GPA and test scores—no separate application required. For Fall 2026, incoming freshmen can qualify for a guaranteed annual academic merit award starting at $15,000 per year, while transfer students qualify for a minimum of $11,000 per year.

OBU's University Scholar Award covers full tuition for four years for qualifying students through a competitive application, essay and interview process. Additional full-tuition opportunities are also available, including the Martin Scholar Award for Choctaw Nation students.

Give Your Students a Head Start

OBU partners with high schools to provide flexible opportunities for students to earn college credit while they're still in high school.

Dual Enrollment

Students can take college courses online or on the OBU campus while completing high school. Course options include subjects such as art, communication, financial strategies, sociology and philosophy.

  • Online: Starting at $300/course
  • On campus: $100/credit hour

Online courses are flexible and video-based, allowing students to learn from anywhere at their own pace. Students near Shawnee can take classes on Bison Hill and begin building confidence in a university classroom.

Dual Credit Partnerships

OBU can also bring dual-credit courses directly to your school. Qualified high school instructors teach OBU-approved curriculum in their classrooms, allowing students to earn high school and college credit without leaving campus.

Because no two schools are alike, OBU works with school leadership to develop courses, schedules and pathways that reflect each school's mission and meet its students' needs.
