Chapel at OBU

OBU’s weekly chapel offers the campus community a place to worship and refocus on Christ. Through Scripture and prayer, this formative experience strengthens faith and empowers students to live out their calling.

Chapel Experience

Each Wednesday, students gather to hear biblically grounded, challenging messages and engage in powerful worship led by their peers. Chapel creates space for spiritual growth alongside friends who are pursuing their calling. Here, your heart, mind and spirit are nurtured as you continue becoming the person God is shaping you to be.

Twice a month, the student Campus Worship Team hosts a designated chapel focused specifically on prayer and extended worship. These gatherings draw students together to uplift one another while offering praise to the Lord in a unified, Christ-centered community.

“My favorite part of weekly chapel service is getting to worship alongside my peers. Chapel ultimately starts my day in a way that glorifies the Lord and leaves me feeling refreshed.”

OBU Worship Team

The OBU Worship Team is a vibrant and essential part of the chapel experience. Students audition to serve on this team and help lead the campus in weekly worship. Beyond chapel, the team serves churches across the state, as well as camps and conferences — representing OBU while leading Christ-centered worship in a variety of settings.

Through these opportunities, students grow in their faith, leadership and ability to shepherd others in worship.
