Prerequisite Requirements
Prerequisite Coursework
Applicants must complete the following courses with a grade of "C" or higher:
- Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II (with labs): 8 credit hours total (Can be separate or combined courses; must be completed within the last 7 years)
- Medical Terminology: 1–3 credit hours
- Statistics: 3 credit hours
- General Psychology: 3 credit hours
- Abnormal Psychology: 3 credit hours
- Lifespan / Human Development: 3 credit hours
- Social Science: 3 credit hours (e.g., Sociology, Anthropology)
Application & Course Completion Policies
- Outstanding Prerequisites: A maximum of two prerequisite courses may be in progress at the time of application. All coursework must be completed before the program begins.
- OTD Transfer Credit Policy: Because of the specialized nature of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy curriculum, we do not accept AP credits, transfer credits, or experiential learning credits toward the doctoral degree.
- Undergraduate Applicants: Students applying for the OTD program may transfer undergraduate credits according to Oklahoma Baptist University’s standard undergraduate admissions policies.
