Incoming Freshmen
Inspired to Teach
Inspired to Teach offers qualified Oklahoma college students an opportunity to earn scholarships and benefits. Program participants may have the opportunity to earn up to $25,500 as they complete their Educator Preparation Program and teach in Oklahoma.
TEACH Grants available
The TEACH Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 a year to students who are completing or plan to complete course work needed to begin a career in teaching. For education majors who agree to teach in high-need fields at high-need schools as documented by the federal government, state government, or local education agency, and approved by the Department of Education.
High-need fields are mathematics; science, including, but not limited to, computer science; foreign language; bilingual education; English language acquisition; reading specialist; special education; or any other field that has been identified as high-need in the annual Teacher Shortage Area Nationwide Listing (Nationwide List).
Upperclassmen Scholarships
OBU's McCabe Family School of Education program provides 28 various scholarships for upper-class education students ranging from $90 to $4,300.
