OBU Harvest Court Candidates Announced
The 2026 Oklahoma Baptist University Harvest Court candidates were recently announced. This year’s candidates include in the front row, left to right, Lorna Darling, Sydney Watkins, Zion Davis, Kat Dublin, Shayna Hendrix, Kayla Easter, Jenna Thompson, Faith Holbrook and Jocelyn Kitchen. In the back row, left to right are Zach Ware, Spencer Barnhill, Harry Henslick, Aaron Rother, Drew Branham, Zach Johnson, Aden Harland, Hudson Jones and Luke McGehee.
The 2026 Oklahoma Baptist University Harvest Court candidates were recently announced. The senior men and women will be recognized during the annual Harvest Court ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 3 at halftime of the Bison football game against Ouachita Baptist University. The game kicks off at 2 p.m. inside Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Complex. The event is part of The Weekend, OBU’s annual homecoming celebration.
Members of the Harvest Court are nominated by their peers in six categories: Most Servant-Like Man, Most Servant-Like Woman, Best All-Around Man, Best All-Around Woman, Harvest King and Harvest Queen. Winners are determined by a student body vote.
The crowning of the Harvest Queen is a longstanding OBU tradition dating back to 1920. The first Harvest King was crowned in 1996. The Most Servant-Like and Best All-Around categories were later added to recognize students who exemplify outstanding character and leadership on campus.
Harvest Queen nominees for 2026 include Faith Holbrook of Overland Park, Kansas, majoring in early childhood and elementary education; Kathryn Dublin of Ozark, Missouri, majoring in creative writing with minors in Christian ministry and education; and Zion Davis of Edmond, majoring in special and elementary education.
Harvest King nominees for 2026 include Spencer Barnhill of Edmond, majoring in finance with an English minor; Luke McGehee of Sand Springs, majoring in exercise science with an emphasis in pre-allied health; and Harry Henslick of Collinsville, majoring in Christian ministry with a history minor.
Most Servant-Like Man nominees are Aden Harland of Bixby and Chengdu, China, majoring in theology and ministry with an emphasis in biblical languages and minor in Christian ministry; Zach Ware of Edmond, majoring in worship arts with a Christian ministry minor; and Zach Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, majoring in accounting.
Most Servant-Like Woman nominees are Sydney Watkins of Kingfisher, majoring in global marketplace engagement with an emphasis in TESOL; Jenna Thompson of Parker, Kansas, majoring in Christian ministry with a worship studies minor; and Jocelyn Kitchen of Broken Arrow, majoring in early childhood education.
Best All-Around Man nominees include Aaron Rother of Shawnee, majoring in theology and ministry; Hudson Jones of Tulsa and Kapsowar, Kenya, majoring in biology with a pre-med emphasis; and Andrew Branham of Edmond, majoring in finance.
Best All-Around Woman nominees include Kayla Easter of Asher, majoring in biology with a communications minor; Shayna Hendrix of Kiefer, majoring in international business with a political science minor; and Lorna Darling of Bartlesville, majoring in biology with a Spanish minor.
These students will also be honored during a special Harvest Court dinner during The Weekend. During the event, nominees will celebrate with family, friends, faculty and staff as they are recognized for their accomplishments and involvement on campus during their time on Bison Hill.
The Harvest Queen and Harvest King will be announced during halftime of the Oct. 3 football game.
