Monaco Delivers First Chapel Message of Spring Semester Jan. 26

Dr. Cas Monaco, vice president of missiology and gospel engagement for FamilyLife, delivered the chapel message Jan. 26 at OBU. The service took place in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium. The chapel was the first of the spring semester.

Monaco has served in her current role as vice president of missiology and gospel engagement for FamilyLife since September 2021. She has served as executive director of gospel in culture at Cru since 2017 and previously served as executive director leader development at Cru. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, English language and literature, from the University of Utah. She then earned a Master of Divinity Equivalent from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in theology and North American missiology, also from Southeastern.

Her research has focused on sharing the good news of God’s kingdom. She is passionate about exploring the next horizon, forging new paths to help people discover their place in God’s story, and catalyzing meaningful and relevant gospel conversations along the way. Her goal is to follow and participate with God’s spirit and God’s people in spreading the gospel as God’s witness. She enjoys meaningful and relevant gospel conversations, especially over a good cup of coffee. She is married to her husband Bob and lives in Durham, North Carolina.
