Enrollment Now Open for OBU Music Prep Summer Lessons

Enrollment is now open for the OBU Music Preparatory Department’s summer 2021 session. Private lessons are available in piano, voice, violin, viola, guitar and brass instruments, as well as a special summer session for the OBU Concert Choir for students in grades 8-12. Lessons are open to all ages and experience levels.

The summer session runs from June 1 to July 23. The private lesson package includes six private lessons in 30-, 45- or 60-minute increments with a recital opportunity July 17. Lessons are scheduled at a time that is convenient for the student and instructor.

The Concert Choir will meet weekly on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. from June 8 to July 13, with a performance during the summer recital July 17. The rate for summer choir is $50 total. If you have not previously auditioned for a Music Preparatory Department choir, you may reserve an audition time for Tuesday, June 1, between 5 and 6:30 p.m. by calling (405) 585-4329 or emailing prep@okbu.edu.

Rates for the summer session are $140 total for six 30-minute lessons, $210 total for six 45-minute lessons, and $280 total for six 60-minute lessons. To enroll, submit the online enrollment form by May 18. Lessons and rehearsals will be held 100% on-campus and in-person this summer with any necessary safety measures in place.
