OBU is pleased to announce the addition of Janette Wilson, who joins the James E. Hurley College of Science and Mathematics as assistant professor of mathematics.

Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from OBU, before going on to earn a Master of Science in mathematics from Oklahoma State University.

Wilson most recently spent eight non-consecutive years serving as an instructor of mathematics at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She previously served as an assistant professor of mathematics at both OBU and Louisiana College in Pineville, Louisiana; an instructor of mathematics at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri; and a lecturer in mathematics at OSU.

Dr. Chris Jones, dean of the James E. Hurley College of Science and Mathematics, is pleased to see what Wilson brings to the table.

“I am excited about Professor Wilson bringing a wealth of teaching experience accompanied with a passion for students to grow in their Christian faith,” Jones said.

During her time as an OBU student, Wilson received the W.T. Short Mathematics Award, which was earned by the top graduating student within the College of Science and Mathematics.
