November 9, 2016

Andy Harrison, Falls Creek program director and student ministry specialist at the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma, delivered the chapel message at Oklahoma Baptist University Wednesday, Nov. 9. Harrison spoke from Luke 22 and continued the fall chapel series theme of “Prayer: Beseeching the Lord through the Prayers of the New Testament.”

Harrison is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and a 31 plus year veteran of youth ministry. He and his wife, Kim, authored “The Discipling Cycle,” a three year series of in-depth discipleship studies for high school students. Harrison served churches in Tulsa and Durant before being called to the BGCO in June of 2000. While at the BGCO, he developed a series of parent ministry conferences called “Moral Compass;” “Sumpherō,’ a youth discipleship curriculum; “Project: LOVE,” an integrity initiative for teenagers; and most recently has led the way in developing “Excellence In Youth Ministry,” a program designed to raise the bar for student ministers in Oklahoma.

Harrison and his wife have been married for 33 years and have three children, Ted, Caleb and Tori, and two daughters-in-law, Susie and Kaitlyn. Harrison enjoys spending time with his family, watching college sports, and journaling.
