All Sons & Daughters to Lead Worship at OBU March 30

March 28, 2016

All Sons & Daughters, a Christian worship group led by Leslie Jordan and David Leonard, will lead worship during the March 30 chapel at OBU. Jordan will then also deliver the chapel message, speaking about the role of worship in our lives. The event takes place in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium at 10 a.m.

The duo serve as worship leaders at Journey Church in Franklin, Tennessee, and have received critical acclaim for their three EP’s “Brokenness Aside,” “Reason to Sing” and “The Longing,” along with their full length albums “Season One” and “Live.” Jordan and Leonard bring a modern folk inspired sound that aims to connect broken people with God.

Songs such as “Great Are You Lord” and “All the Poor and Powerless” have been widely circulated on the radio, music streaming services and in live worship. The songs are typically piano or acoustic guitar driven and are packed with energy and an “unpolished imperfection” that the duo uses to create an open invitation to sing and worship.

Following the chapel service, guests from around the state will enjoy a luncheon with Leslie Jordan. The luncheon and chapel message are part of OBU’s annual Woman’s Mission and Ministry Day.

The group will later host a worship workshop for OBU students at 3 p.m.
