OBU's Annual Harvest Dinner Nov. 7 to Recognize Outstanding Alumni

OBU will host its annual Harvest Dinner Friday, Nov. 7, at 6 p.m. in the upper level of the Geiger Center on OBU's campus. Tickets are $20 through Oct. 30, and $25 beginning Oct. 31. For tickets, call (405) 585-5413.

The event takes place during OBU's homecoming events, held Nov. 6-8. Several award winners will be recognized during the event, including two recipients of the Alumni Achievement Award, the winner of the Graduate of the Last Decade Award, one inductee into the Faculty Hall of Fame, and twelve recipients of the Profile in Excellence Award.

Bob Hoffman, '79, and Dr. George Wilson, '50, will each receive the Alumni Achievement Award, given "in recognition of outstanding life service which has brought honor to the individual's alma mater."

Ryan Blackwell, a 2006 OBU graduate, will receive the Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award.

OBU will also recognize 12 recipients of the 2014 Profile in Excellence Award: Ryan Abernathy, '97; G. Ray Ballew, '55; Andy Harrison, '89; Julie K. Jennings, '93; Kevin E. Klinger, '94; Brad Leslie, '61; Dr. Kay Harris Mizell, '69; Ryan Powell, '97; L. Glen Redding, Jr., '76: Dr. E. Elbert Smith, '80; Catherine Kay Casey Smith, '81; and Susan Ann Baker Wooten, '74.
