Rogers and Andrews to Perform Junior Recital April 10

Bailee Rogers Sammy Andrews

Rogers is a vocal performance major from Bixby, Okla. The daughter of Wayne and Penny Rogers, she is from the studio of Dr. Mark McQuade, assistant professor of music. During the performance, Rogers will be assisted by Chase Anderson, staff accompanist on piano.

Andrews is a musical arts-voice emphasis major from Checotah, Okla. The son of Steve and Shelli Andrews, he is from the studio of Dr. Louima Lilite, assistant professor of music. During the performance, Rogers will also be assisted by Anderson on piano.

The recital will include works by Mozart, Mahler, Hahn, and Flanders & Swann performed by Rogers, as well as works by Handel, Gerard, Faure, Gounod, and Wolf, performed by Andrews.

Rogers is a member of the OBU University Chorale. Upon graduation, she plans to attend graduate school.

Andrews is a member of OBU's David's Creed music group; Bison Glee Club; University Chorale; and Canterbury Leadership Team. He has been involved in theatre productions and concerts: Vocal Honors Academy Recital; Concerto Aria finalist; "Street Scene"; "Hairspray"; and "Little Shop of Horrors."

Upon graduation, Andrews plans to attend graduate school.
