Chick-fil-A Express to Open March 4

OBU is pleased to announce the grand opening of the new Chick-fil-A Express restaurant on campus. The location will open on Tuesday, March 4, with a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration to be held at 1 p.m. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Geiger Center on OBU's Shawnee campus.

The opening has long been anticipated by the university community. The restaurant will be open daily, Monday through Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Many exciting events are planned for the day, including the ribbon cutting, giveaways, and a visit from the Chick-fil-A cow. Students will also be able to take part in social media contests through university social channels.

Students on the university meal plan will be able to use one meal credit per day in exchange for a meal from Chick-fil-A. The exchange will be available Monday through Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. At other times, students will need to purchase their meal. The Chick-fil-A Express will begin by serving the main staples of the Chick-fil-A menu, including the "Original" Chicken Sandwich, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Chick-fil-A nuggets, waffle fries, lemonade and iced tea. Plans are underway to eventually offer breakfast service.

The restaurant was built by Lingo Construction Services, Inc., and RCD of Atlanta.
