Oklahoma Baptist University added setter Brittany Palmer of Colorado Springs, Colo., for the team's first year back in action in 2008.
A three-year captain at Rampart High School, Palmer held the Colorado High School record for assists in one game and led her team to three league titles and a third place state finish.
She comes to OBU after two seasons at Northeastern Junior College, where she captained the team for two years and was on the All-Region Tournament team.
Palmer is the daughter of Robert and Julie Palmer and Lisa Villa.
"OBU will be a great place for me to grow in my faith and pursue physical therapy," said Palmer. "I also really enjoy Coach Monsen and the campus."
OBU started volleyball in 1975, but the program was discontinued after the 1987 season and the Lady Bison take the court for the first time since then in 2008.
OBU hired former Big XII co-Libero of the Year Anna Monsen as its head volleyball coach.
