Lady Bison Roll Past OC

Oklahoma Baptist didn't care much about duplicating its 55-point win over Oklahoma Christian, settling for an 82-62 win in the Noble Complex.

OBU beat OC in the Eagles Nest 96-41 earlier this season.

Like that first game, Oklahoma Christian kept it close for a while with six lead changes and four ties in the first nine minutes.

OBU rallied from down 18-15 with an 8-0 run that saw four different Lady Bison score field goals. That run left OBU with a 23-18 lead and the Lady Bison never trailed again.

Jayme Glover hit a three-pointer and Heather Graham added a field goal for a half-ending 5-2 run for a 41-33 halftime edge.

The Lady Eagles got no closer than six points in the second half, 58-52, with 6:41 left in the game. From there to the 2:25 mark, OBU ran off on a 17-2 run, getting nine of those from Taujhnae Travis.

Oklahoma Christian got the lead down to 15 points against the OBU bench, but Erin Pickering finished with a personal 5-0 run for the final 20-point spread.

Travis led the Lady Bison with 17 points, followed by Graham with 14, Jennifer Jupin with 13 and Betsy Simmons with 10.

The Lady Bison won the battle of the boards 41-32 with Graham leading the way with 11 boards.

Kailan DeCamp had a game-high 19 for Oklahoma Christian.

The Lady Bison, now 20-2 overall and 12-2 in the SAC, took over sole possession of second place as Southern Nazarene fell to Oklahoma City, 85-66.

OBU resumes play at home Saturday against Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Tip off is 6 p.m.
