Lady Bison Double-Up Northwestern

Oklahoma Baptist University showed no signs of fatigue in their third game since Tuesday with a 90-45 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State in the Noble Complex Saturday.

OBU scored 45 points in each half, got all but one player 10 minutes or more of playing time and got scoring and rebounding from all 13 players.

The Lady Bison put the clamps on defensively, holding NWOSU to 27 percent shooting for the game while winning the rebound battle 45-33.

OBU led for the game's final 37 minutes and broke a 22-12 contest wide open with a half-closing 24-4 run for a 45-16 halftime advantage. Tanna Truelove came off the bench for nine of those points.

The Lady Bison led by as many as 50 points.

OBU, which outscored Northwestern 19-18 in bench scoring in Alva, got big contributions from the bench Saturday, dominating that stat 51-9. Taujhnae Travis (13) and Truelove (12) combined for nearly half of that, while Erin Pickering added eight.

Heather Graham led OBU with 15 points, while Betsy Simmons worked for 10 points and nine rebounds.

Now 21-2 overall and 13-2 in the SAC, OBU is in for a battle royal Thursday at Oklahoma City. The Stars lead OBU by 1.5 games in the SAC standings.
