Hobart High School track and cross country standout Dalton Funkhouser has signed to run for Oklahoma Baptist University, beginning next fall.
Funkhouser, the son of Shane and Lorie Funkhouser, was a two-time cross country All-Region selection and a three-time state qualifier. He also is a state track qualifier.
Funkhouser is expected to run cross country and distance events.
He is finishing an outstanding academic high school career as well and is first in his class. Funkhouser scored a 33 on the ACT and is an Oklahoma Academic Scholar.
"I chose OBU because of the opportunity to be on an outstanding cross country and track team while also getting a high quality education," Funkhouser said.
