Track Teams Qualify 13 in Arkansas

Oklahoma Baptist University's indoor track teams met 13 national qualifying marks and one provisional qualifying standard at the University of Arkansas Friday.

OBU qualified twice in the women's 800 meters. Kyli Bean was sixth in a time of 2:14.13 and Amanda Mayfield was seventh in 2:16.62.

Marissa Moseley qualified in the high jump, clearing 5-5 and finishing fifth. The Lady Bison also qualified two relay teams. The 4x400 squad was seventh in 3:55.95 and the distance medley relay was fourth in 12:32.98.

Michael Rodgers hit individual qualifying in two events. He was fifth in the 60 meters at 6.74 seconds and eighth in the 200 meters at 21.81. Derek Nettles also qualified in the 200 in 18th place at 22.23.

T.J. Lightsey finished 14th in the 400 meters with a qualifying time of 48.39 seconds.

A.J. Carter was fifth in the 800 meters at 1:55.04, meeting qualifying standards, while Prophet Bailey met a provisional standard in 1:56.46 in finishing ninth.

Lamar Baskin finished sixth in the 60 meter hurdles with a qualifying time of 8.11 seconds.

The men also qualified two relay squads. The 4x400 team was ninth in 3:18.09 and the distance medley relay team was fourth in 10:23.42.

OBU returns to action next weekend with split squads in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
