Rones Named Player of the Week

Sandralina Rones of Oklahoma Baptist University has been named Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for Feb. 14-20.

Rones, junior shortstop from Pittsburg, Calif., batted .500 for the week with two home runs, four RBI and a slugging percentage of 1.250, leading OBU to a 2-1 week that included two wins at East Central and a loss at Oklahoma State. She also scored twice.

Rones, OBU's leadoff hitter in two games, had a two-run home run in the first game at East Central and then started the second game with a home run.
