OBU Women Bounce Northwestern in Alva

February 17, 2005

OBU had a 31-23 halftime advantage and then slammed the door on the Rangers in the second half, outscoring the hosts 31-9 in the final 20 minutes.

OBU held the Rangers to 18 percent shooting in the second half and forced 10 turnovers in each half. The Lady Bison had only six second-half miscues and outscored NWOSU 13-0 in second half point off turnovers.

Shannon Plumb led OBU with 16 points, while Rachel Heins had 14 points and a dozen rebounds from off the bench.

OBU out-rebounded the Rangers 41-30.

The victory, coupled with Lubbock Christian's loss to Southern Nazarene, pushed OBU a half game ahead of the Lady Chaps in the standings.

OBU, 9-5 in the SAC and 21-5 for the season, will play at USAO Saturday. The Drovers are coming off an 86-59 loss at St. Gregory's and could be eliminated if the Lady Bison get the victory Saturday.

OBU is now 4-0 in Percefull Field House under Coach John McCullough.
