Bison take pair from Avila

The second game was called (darkness) in the fifth inning.

Senior Sean Dryden of OBU, who went four innings in the opener, allowed three runs and two hits with five strikeouts.

Brent Roberts relieved with a two-hit, two-inning stint and Wes Moreland hurled the final inning.

After scoring two runs in the first inning, OBU combined four hits with three walks and a hit batsman for a seven-run spurt in the second. Danny Guidry had the inning's big hit, a three-run triple. Guidry, a senior from Crowley, La., also had a run-scoring single.

Nick Bakich blasted a run-scoring triple in the first to go along with a single in the game. Frankie Ibara posted a double and single, while Eric Curry and Aaron Dickson recorded two singles apiece.

Prague High School product Brent Terrell earned the nightcap pitching win after surrendering just two hits in four innings. Terrell walked three and fanned seven. J. Vinson pitched the last inning for the Bison.

OBU tallied six runs in the third inning on three hits, four walks and two Avila errors.

Junior Adam Dalby led OBU's nine-hit attack with a single and double. Kip Keith added two singles.

OBU (6-2) will entertain Kansas Newman Tuesday in a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
