OBU Hits 15 Qualifying Standards at KU

Mirriam Kaumba won the women's 5000 meters in 16:56.80, beating the qualifying standard by more than 90 seconds.

OBU's Women's Distance Medley Relay team won in a qualifying time of 12:01.57.

Keyonna Hornbuckle finished second in the 600 yard dash with a qualifying time of 1:25.74. Kyli Bean also qualified in 1:28.04 from seventh place.

Kyta Ferrer was second in the 800 meters with a qualifying time of 2:15.24.

Deena Almohandis and Michelle Carpenter cleared 5-4.25 in the high jump, finishing eighth and qualifying from the national meet.

Mai Fukada qualified in the triple jump, bounding 37-8 for fifth place.

Landon Willets won the mile run in a qualifying time of 4:17.09.

Pat Brown and T.J. Lightsey qualified in the 200 meters in fifth at 21.86 and seventh at 22.17, respectively. Lightsey also qualified in the 400 meters in third place at 49.31 seconds.

Brown and Lamar Baskin posted qualifying times in the 60 meter hurdles. Brown was fourth at 8.01 seconds and Baskin was 10th in the prelims at 8.35 seconds.

Also for OBU, Daniel Ellis was second in the 5000 meters at 15:24.34. Dominique Chan Low was third in the triple jump at 45-9.75.
