Since 1977, Tommy Nelson has been the Pastor of Denton Bible Church, located in Denton, Texas. He has been featured on Focus on the Family, FamilyLife Today, Josh McDowell, For Faith and Family, and other national broadcasts.

"For many people, the Song of Solomon is the mystery book of the Bible", says Nelson. "Tucked among the books of the Bible in the section called the Wisdom Literature, the Song of Solomon has the distinction of being the only book of the Bible that seems to have been edited and censored by the Christian church. Most Christians don't read it, don't understand it, and have never heard a sermon about it."

Nelson graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. He then attended Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas, where he received the Master of Arts in Biblical Studies degree.

In addition to the Song of Solomon materials, he is the author of three books: The Book of Romance, The Big Picture: Understanding the Story of the Bible, and The Problem of Life with God.

He has been married to Teresa Nelson for more than 25 years. They have two adult sons, Benjamin and John.

The conference is designed to help attendees discern godly characteristics in a potential mate, grow closer to their spouse and they resolve conflicts, and enjoy deeper love, joy and commitment.

"Based on what God knows about us, " says Nelson, "He has provided an instruction manual in the Song of Solomon with eight very enlightening, explicit, and highly practical chapters on the topics of love, sex, and intimacy."
