Doell, Thurber Honored in Softball

Oklahoma Baptist University softball players Krista Doell and Katy Thurber were named to the All-Sooner Athletic Conference Team, it was announced Saturday.

Doell, a senior from Saskatoon, Sask., was named to the first team as a utility player. It is her second year to be so honored. Doell batted .278 for the season with a team-best three home runs and 18 runs scored.

Thurber, a junior from Bixby, was named to the second team as an infielder. She batted .250 for the season with a team-best seven doubles. This marks her third All-Conference honor.
