Christmas Program Scheduled for Chapel Service

Oklahoma Baptist University's annual holiday chapel program will feature performing ensembles of the Warren M. Angell College of Fine Arts and Christmas greetings from around the world.

The Dec. 6 chapel service at 10 a.m. will include performances by the University Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Nancy Cobb Lippens, professor of music, the University Ringers, under the direction of Mary Kay Parrish, associate professor of music, and the Bisonettes, under the direction of Jack Pearson, associate professor of music.

Other groups performing include the Bison Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of

Dr. Kevin Pruiett, assistant professor of music, the Bison Glee Club, under the direction of Dr. John Simons, associate professor of church music, and the OBU Chapel Choir.

OBU international students will offer holiday wishes in their native languages.

Keith Whitmore, OBU staff accompanist will be the pianist for the event and Ron Davis, associate professor of organ, will be the organist.

Dr. Dan Reeder, dean of OBU's Paul Dickinson School of Business, will serve as master of ceremonies and lead the congregational sing-along.

The program will conclude with an old OBU Christmas tradition, the singing of Warren M. Angell's arrangement of "Christmas Means Thinking of Jesus."
