OBU Christmas Chapel Sings in the Season

Oklahoma Baptist University's annual Christmas Chapel service was Dec. 8 in the University's Raley Chapel.

Dr. Shirley Jones, Crouch/Mathis professor of English, served as emcee for the holiday celebration. Dr. Carol Ann Bell, associate professor of piano, was the accompanist for the Christmas carol sing-a-long.

The OBU Bison Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Pancho Romero, associate professor of music performed renditions of "Little Drummer Boy" arranged by Chris McDonald and "White Christmas" arranged by Mike Taylor.

The University Chorale, directed by Dr. Nancy Cobb, professor of music, sang "Here We Come a' Caroling," arranged by Bryant Adams. Limited Edition, a select chorus of Chorale members will perform "Sleigh Ride" by Anderson/Edwards.

The Bisonette Glee Club, directed by Jack Person, associate professor of music, sang "Ding Dong Merrily on High" arranged by Howard Cable and "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" arranged by M. Brymer.

The OBU Brass Quintet performed "Sussex Mummer's Christmas Carol" by Granger/Kreines.

The Bison Glee Club, under the direction of Dr. Randall Bradley, associate professor of music, sang "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" arranged by Shaw.

The University Ringers, under the direction of Mary Kay Parrish, associate professor of music, performed "Go Tell It on the Mountain" arranged by Dobrinski.

David Byland, assistant professor of telecommunication, presented "The Theology of Clement C. Moore as Found in "Twas the Night Before Christmas" to conclude the program.
