Language and Literature Scholarships
Incoming Freshmen and Upperclassmen
Dr. Katherine Rader Scholarship
$1,300 awarded to an outstanding English, English Education, or Creative Writing major with at least a 3.0 grade point.
Upperclassmen Scholarships
Mitchell English Scholarship
$1,620 is awarded to an English, English Education, or Creative Writing major with at least a 3.0 grade point. Selection is based on specified criteria.
Shirley Jones Scholarship in English
$1,450 is awarded to a senior English, English Education, or Creative Writing major. Selection is based on specified criteria.
Washicheck Scholarship in English
$780 is awarded to a full-time student majoring in English based on financial need and outstanding potential.
Arthur I. and Margaret Weddell Brandon Scholarship in English
$685 is awarded to a student majoring in English. Selection is based on specified criteria.
Lewis and Susan Russell Memorial Scholarship in English
$270 is awarded to a student majoring in English. Selection is based on specified criteria.
Shakespeare Award
$270 is awarded to the top student in the English Shakespeare course.
