Federal regulations require us to include costs for some indirect items when determining your eligibility for financial aid. Keep in mind not all items included in the cost of attendance will be billed to you by the school. It's important to distinguish between those direct billable costs, like tuition and fees, and the indirect non-billable items, like personal and transportation. All averages listed here are based on standard expected enrollment by program and average living and personal expenses.
Certain assumptions are made in determining the appropriate Cost of Attendance for you. For example, we may assume you to be living on-campus until you notify us of your plans to live at home. You may request a review of your Cost of Attendance anytime by contacting the Financial Aid Office. You may also request an adjustment to your Cost of Attendance for things like the one-time documented purchase of a computer or laptop, dependent care expenses, disability-related expenses, or study abroad expenses.

FAQs about Cost and Aid
The billable costs are items that OBU will actually bill you for on a billing statement, like your tuition and fees. The indirect non-billable items are miscellaneous expenses you may or may not have during your time as a college student. Every student's indirect costs will vary, but these are estimated for a typical student in various living situations based on US Department of Education requirements.
Yes, OBU offers multiple payment plans for each semester, allowing you to split up your payments into as many as ten payments throughout the academic year. You will be able to enroll in a payment plan when you receive your first billing statement.
All of your institutional scholarships from OBU are renewable for up to eight semesters as long as you remain enrolled full-time and maintain a 2.0 GPA. Your federal and state financial aid are determined annually by renewing your FAFSA application.
