Biography
Dr. Tammie Havemen, MA, PA-C, D.Min
Dr. Tammie Haveman serves as Director of Clinical Education and Associate Professor in the Physician Associate program at OBU. With a diverse leadership background spanning healthcare, education, and nonprofit ministry, she brings extensive experience in strategic leadership, clinical training, and student mentorship. She is passionate about preparing the next generation of healthcare providers to serve with excellence and compassion.
Before joining OBU, Haveman served as Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education at Bethel University, where she led collaborative efforts with health systems and community partners to expand clinical training opportunities for students. Her clinical background includes practice as a Physician Assistant in emergency and surgical settings, and she continues to practice in emergency medicine.
A published author and frequent speaker at conferences, churches, and professional gatherings, she continues to write and speak on topics related to faith, justice and leadership.
Tammie and her husband, Dave, have four children and are actively involved in local ministry and service.
