Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy

Biography

Dr. Honorat's background is in pediatric occupational therapy (OT) and community-based practice. She has served in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, and homes. She also does nature-based occupational therapy. Much of her career has been dedicated to academia where she continues to teach and mentor future practitioners. Her professional interests extend to maternal health in occupational therapy and the integration of spirituality into practice. Dr. Honorat has also served in several international leadership roles, including as President of the Haitian Association of Occupational Therapists, and remains an active member and mentor within the organization. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family, singing karaoke, and creating craft products for leisure.
