Biography

Cameron Duncan is a composer, percussionist, and private lessons teacher. All three disciplines play a daily role in his life as a musician. He teaches weekly drum set, percussion, composition, music theory, and piano lessons. When a need arises within a student's progression, Cameron has enjoyed writing pieces that suit that need, or shine new light on a specific technique.

Cameron is the Instructor of Composition and Percussion at Oklahoma Baptist University. He is also earning his doctorate in Percussion at the University of Oklahoma, studying with Dr. Andrew Richardson. He has two bachelor's degrees and two master's degrees (Percussion Performance and Music Composition for both) from Oklahoma City University, studying with Dr. Edward Knight, Dr. David Steffens, Dr. Tommy Dobbs, Dr. Jamie Whitmarsh, Patrick Womack, and Dr. Luis Rivera.

Cameron has performed in a variety of different chamber and large ensembles within Oklahoma City University, he has subbed section percussion with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and the Fort Smith Symphony, and led worship behind the drum-set in several churches.

Cameron aspires to continue developing his private lesson studio, write music, and perform.
