Dr. Brandon Smith serves OBU by leading the faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate programs, and overall vision and mission for the Hobbs School of Theology and Ministry.

Before coming to OBU, he served as a professor, pastored in various capacities, was managing editor for the Christian Standard Bible translation, and served as director of communications at Criswell College.

He also helped found the Center for Baptist Renewal and hosts the Church Grammar podcast and YouTube channel. His research interests include the Trinity, canonical and theological interpretation, patristic theology and retrieval, and Baptist theology.
