Dr. Jones is the Director of Clinical Education and Associate Professor for the MS-SLP program. She has practiced as a clinical Speech-Language Pathologist in adult medical settings and has spent over a decade working with and supervising SLP graduate students. Her clinical background is rooted in adult rehabilitation, with specialized expertise in dysphagia management and progressive neurological conditions including Parkinson's disease. Her research interests span Parkinson's disease caregiver support, rural and urban healthcare disparities, and the integration of artificial intelligence in clinical SLP education. She consults as a subject matter expert in speech-language pathology and has served on the ASHA Committee for Health Literacy Topics. Dr. Jones is an active scholar in AI ethics, simulation-based learning, and health literacy, with a particular interest in how emerging technologies can expand access to quality clinical training in graduate SLP programs.
