Carroll Award to Kelly King during the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma\u2019s (BGCO) annual meeting Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">King is the former BGCO Women\u2019s Missions and Ministry Specialist, serving in that position for 11 years before assuming the role of Women\u2019s Ministry Specialist for Lifeway in November. She has served as an adjunct professor at OBU teaching women\u2019s ministry courses and has written extensively for multiple Christian publications. She is a teacher, equipper, writer and leader in women\u2019s missions and ministries and champion for the cause of Christ in the state of Oklahoma.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The award is given in recognition of outstanding denominational service in the state of Oklahoma. It is named for Dr. J.M. Carroll, who served as OBU\u2019s first president, helping establish the foundation upon which OBU\u2019s tradition of excellence has been built.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OBU presented the J.M.
