Bisonette Glee Club To Tour In Arizona

Oklahoma Baptist University’s Bisonette Glee Club will perform in Flagstaff, Glendale, and Phoenix, Arizona, for the group’s 2006 Spring Tour. Since its founding in 1954, the Bisonettes have performed throughout the United States.

The Bisonettes were organized by Warren M. Angell, former dean of OBU’s Warren M. Angell College of Fine Arts. Members are selected through annual auditions and represent various academic areas of the university. The glee club performs at many campus events, including chapel services, Homecoming, and Hanging of the Green. The group takes a multi-state concert tour each year.

The Bisonettes are under the direction of Dr. Darla Eshelman, OBU associate professor of music education. Eshelman is a graduate of Grand Canyon University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in musical arts. She completed her master’s degree in music education at Arizona State University and her Ph.D. degree at the University of Oklahoma
